The Sun - central to our existence and a symbol of life and joy

In British folklore, the Sun often represents protection, fertility, renewal, and the life-giving power that drives away darkness and evil.

This pendant is part of an ongoing collection inspired by ancient coin talismans and the quiet beauty of found materials. I have always loved discovering wild clay on walks in nature, and began experimenting with carefully hand-forming small clay discs, inspired partly by ancient Roman coins found near where I live.

Each pendant is cast in recycled silver, preserving the softly weathered texture and organic imperfections of the original handmade form. Designed to feel like a small unearthed relic, the Hawthorn pendant carries a sense of history, symbolism, and connection to the natural world.
